Dailymail not sending report?
« on: May 03, 2007, 05:52:34 am »
Hi,

I've been running LMP for years with no problems.  Just a few days ago my host moved me over to a new CPANEL (Plesk).  LMP runs fine, seems to be working, and Dailymail screen says it ran last night, but I'm not getting any Dailymail reports, nothing?

Any idea what would cause this, and how to test it, I can NOT run wget in the chroot environment so I can NOT test this on the command line like I used to do...

I just noticed, the table lm_sendp has my report in it, but it didn't send it?  I had this problem a few weeks ago, not sure why that is, I'll try rebuilding the table, but there's another problem, I'll report that in a different thread...

Any ideas???
Thanks,
-Brett

Dailymail not sending report?

Brett,

I am quite familiar with Plesk.

First I recommend checking if PHP mail is working on the server.  You can do this simply by manually adding a test user with the welcome message enabled.  If you get the welcome message PHP mail should be working fine.

I recommend your host increase the outbound concurrency if they haven't already, as mentioned here:

It is possible your queue is clogged and your message will be delivered after some time.  This is known as "silly qmail syndrome" and can be easily caused by Yahoo's rate-limiting.  At minimum, Plesk qmail must be recompiled with the "big-ext-todo" patch...

An example of how to recompile qmail for Plesk is here:
http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?threadid=34664

I have put together a super-special-to-me script that will recompile qmail with all the patches on a variety of linux distros and Plesk versions... I wonder if your host would consider $50 for that. :)
