Next time I will knock on wood
« on: August 07, 2005, 12:23:27 pm »
I've been running Listmailpro successfully for half a year and it has worked flawlessly. I just commented to the boss about this very thing Friday.

Today - I logged into Listmail and wanted to view all the users in my main database. None of them would display. The stats at the top of the page show I have 3309, which is accurate, but none of them will display. I can do a search with 'a' in the name field and it will display that result. But the whole list refused to display by default as it always has.

Since I had a backup, I restored that - and now my whole installation is gone. Listmail wants me to type 'install' as the password, which tells me I am hosed. My password does not allow me into the admin area at all. It wants me to enter install. When I do that I get an error message "Creating config database table lm_config - **Error creating lm_config! Error writing file".

So - I don't understand why my users wouldn't display in the first place. Second, I don't understand why a restore caused Listmail to think I need a new installation. I shoulda knocked on wood Friday.

DW - thanks for all the help on getting my database squared away and back up and running.

[unsolicited] The customer support here is great. DW took over and worked through this problem to get our list back and operating [/unsolicited]
