Partial sending???
« on: September 10, 2004, 09:03:31 am »
I have a need to do send an email to a portion of my list. For example if I send a mailing to my whole user database on one day and 3 days later I know I have several new subscribers that haven't received the latest mailing - is there a way to perhaps send to just the new users? I have an option using a different program where I can send to users who haven't received this mail before. I would like to do the same with this mail program.

Thanks

Unfortunately, ListMail does not track which messages were sent to which users.  This is because if you were to send a lot of messages to a lot of people it would take up a lot of database space.

You may want to consider using followups or the welcome message to achieve what you need.  For example, you could put your latest newsletter below a short introduction in your welcome message.

Why not keep your most recent newsletter on your Web site and never change the absolute URL.

That way, in your welcome message you can have a link to the most current newsletter.

You probably already figured that one out...
