Some addressess block mail from going out
« on: May 19, 2004, 03:57:50 pm »
1. In  tests today, I  have found that I can not send to my yahoo account.
(I have mentioned this in another thread)

2. I am unable to send to my Net Zero box.

3. Other mail to my .com's works fine, if I do not include the netzero address.

If I include the netzero address, no mail goes out.
The netzero address stopped all mail.

Can this be resolved without my upgrading the program that I just purchased. You may recall that my host had to install the program, because of my lack of experience.

Thank you for assisting,
Brad

It is highly recommended that you, if you haven't already, upgrade to v1.77b available from the members area.  This release contains much better SMTP error checking and reporting and could tell us the reason why this is happening.

All you need to do is download the new ZIP, extract it to a temporary directory, connect with FTP, upload all of the files from the MAIN folder in the ZIP overwriting your main ListMail folder on the remote site, and re-login to the program.

Thanks for helping Dean,

But I must clarify so that I don't mess something up.

Should I ftp the ListMail-new folder, and the ListMail_v177,
Or open the “ListMail –new folder”  and ftp what’s inside.

Starting with the “attach folder”,”cgi folder”, “xtra folder”, 1.gif, and all of the others below it”.

Thank you for assisting,
Brad

Brad,

Oops, the ListMail-new folder was not supposed to be shown.  I meant to make the ZIP out of the files inside the ListMail-new folder.. I have fixed this now.  Simply overwrite all files in your main ListMial dir (excluding directories and the file config.php) and re-login to the program to upgrade.

I transferred new information and now nothing works. So, I did something wrong.
Transferred:
ListMail_v177
New Microsoft

I opened the ListMail-new folder
I did not overwrite the folders- attach, cgi, xtra
I did not transfer congig.php.tx

I transferred all other files

Was unclear what you meant by “ re-login to program to upgrade”
But I logged in using my current password.

This is what happened afterwords:
I sent a test with the following results:

Connecting to SMTP server... Connected!

If your mailing stops for any reason, close the window or . Do NOT Refresh!

Sending Mail   of 2..

Sending error. Check your mail settings.

Queue Row: queueid=4ed563f4acaf59368a9bae41e6151128 msgtype=1 userid=171 msgid=60 email=brad392@netzero.com)

Server said:502 ESMTP command error

Please help so I can begin using ASAP

Please submit a support request at the following URL so I can check it out.  Be sure to include a note about the problem (the error msg from your last post would be great).
