Author Topic: Listmail won't send to DayanaHost servers? (Read 1941 times)

Hello all,
I have just purchased Listmail and installed it successfully on AwebHosting server (UK). Listmail works flawlessly except for sending out the Welcome message to DayanaHost server accounts. I have three web sites with this hosting company and none are receiving the Listmail welcome message.

I have several other hosting accounts with other companies and they are all receiving the welcome message including Yahoo. I have signed up to my newsletter from AwebHosting where Listmail is installed and that works fine too.

Is this a DNS problem with DayanaHost or something of this nature? Or maybe the site I have installed Listmail on is not the best hosting server, I don’t know. My domain name is hyphenated and that has caused problems in the past with other servers.

A good marketer has recommended hosting companies to install Listmail to:

www.micfo.com
www.aqhost.com

but I wanted to make sure Listmail was going to work before purchasing another web host.

I am not sure what to do now! I could install Listmail to one of my other hosting accounts and see what happens. What do you people think?

If the welcome message show up at Yahoo and other hosts other than the server ListMail is running on then it is unlikely that there is a problem with your hosting service. This is most likely a DayanaHost problem, though, I'm not sure why.

Have you tried sending a message from your email client, with an account on the same server ListMail is running on, to your account at DayanaHost? Does that come through?

I tried this and the emails will not send to any of my other email accounts. Maybe there is something wrong with the server Listmail is installed on. (It is a new company which took over another hosting business where I had a web site but never used).

I am hosted with a couple of other very good servers (Globate and Westhost) so maybe I should try one of them them to make a thorough test. It is only an hour's work, what do you think?

It is very difficult to diagnose the cause of non-delivery. I guess I will say yes, try another host.

Dean, I tried another host and presto Dayanahost accounts now receive the Welcome message as well as all my other test hosts. So I guess the original host I installed Listmail to has some sort of configuration issue.

Other than that hiccup Listmail is now running very smoothly.
