Number actually sent
« on: May 30, 2004, 12:48:54 pm »
Hi Dean,

Hi All,

I am not a techie, so a lot of the terminology is
like Greek to me.

I need to know how am I able to tell how much
of my mail actually was sent.

If I mail to 60,000, how do I know how much of
that # mail was successfully sent to.

I was sending  and when the task was finished I
saw the page saying Page cannot be found.

I don't know what happened and I don't know how
much mail was actually sent.

I also had a problem scheduling the mail.

I set it for the same day and it never sent the mail out.

I also want to know if I have the most current version of Listmail
and if not how can I have it upgraded.

Thanks

Lissa

If you are using SMTP (with the latest version) you can be quite sure that your email was queued to the server.  After messages are sent to the server it is up to the server's mail software to complete delivery.

If you see "Page not found" then there is some reason to be concerned.  However, you should simply be able to re-login to ListMail and see if all messages for that send were sent to the server.  If they were not, you will see something in the header of the program that says the number of messages remaining and be able to click "Resume" next to this entry.

If your messages still remains in "Scheduled Messages" then ListMail never started sending the email.  This is caused by your cron/dailymail task not being set up correctly.

I recently released an update so if you didn't purchase recently you will very likely not be on the latest update.  To upgrade, simply overwrite your main ListMail files with the ones from the new ZIP available in the member/download area.

If you require assistance, I can check everything out and perform an update for you.  You would be required to order a "Server Analysis" from the following URL:

Along with your request please post your concerns in the "Notes" section.

Thanks!
