codes question
« on: March 28, 2005, 12:52:02 pm »
Firstly, is there are search facility on the forum? May find the answer to this somewhere else.

I have upgrade to the latest version, but noticed that there were loads of uncomfirmed subscribers.(I'm using double opt-in)

Although !confirm is being iserted into messages, it is being displayed like that in the messages.

!confirm is not in the list of codes already installed.

'The !confirm message code must be used in the confirmation message to output the confirmation link. If the code is missing, the link will be automatically added at the bottom of the message.'

Thanks

Peter

Peter,

Sorry about that.  That message needs to be removed.  You now need to create a !confirm code of the type "Confirmation Link" under Global Codes.  This should have been automatically created during update - I'm not sure why it wasn't.  :?  You should also create a !button code of the type "Remove Confirm" for use on your Custom HTML "Unsub Confirm" pages.

Thanks Dean, for your info, it ended up creating !!confirm so perhaps the original is in there somewhere!

Hi dean, everything seems to be ok apart from this smtp problem mentioned before. It will now mail 1000 but then stops and says error.
So that's probably something to do with their servers.

Try setting your "Reconnect every X emails" SMTP option to 1000.
