Signup facility does not work
« on: November 03, 2008, 05:58:21 am »
I have some sign up code to put on my website.  But when I sign up it gives and error, even though the name is put on the user database.

The Apache error log is as follows:

[Wed Oct 22 11:38:33 2008] [error] [client 86.132.65.109] malformed
header from script. Bad header=ben.mason@example.:
/var/html/listmail/signup.php

Indicating an error in the listmail scripts we believe.

I will e-mail the details of the server to Dean

Yes, you can submit all the info I might need here.  When uploading your files, please ensure that all .php files are uploaded in ASCII as opposed to Binary mode.  This can sometimes require changing settings in your FTP client.

Dean - the time delays are now getting ridiculous.  It took you a week to say "yes please post staff here" - even though I sent you an e-mail with the login details immediately I posted the support request.

I would guess it was 3 weeks ago that I first raised thisd e-mail - which is a sales suppor trequest really as I am jsut trying to install p[roduct stil lthat I bought several months ago - and here we are with you taking a week to give me respones like this....

Can you confirm that you think this is acceptable - if you were looking for installation support say?

Paid support has priority.  I can get a bit further behind on sales email and forum requests.

The signup.php script is fairly straightforward, and should work as uploaded.  If it doesn't, it may have been uploaded in Binary mode, so please try re-uploading in ASCII mode.

Ongoing installation issue

Thanks Dean - that is the same advice you gave me on the 21st October which we followed immediately at the time with no benefit.

I have also provided you on your e-mail login details for out Listmail and host as requested.

I fully understand why paid support gets priority.....  I am dissappointed that the system ahs failed on installation on a key function and that is also apparently not supported.

I feel it a bit unreasonable to pay more just to get core features working.

Do you think I am being unreasonable?
