signup@2Domain.com other than the domain where listmail is
« on: February 01, 2006, 05:03:29 pm »
Is there a way to setup a forwarders from my 2domain.com so some one would be able to sign up to my list by sending me an blank email to signup@my2domain.com So the forwarder (   ) would forward to my cgi script on my domain.com where I have the list mail installed.

So in other words:

I have Listmail installed on mydomain.com
I want to be able to receive subscribers who send me blank emails from signup@my2domain.com
How could I set that up

I tried to use Forwarders but I could not figure out the right languish this is what I tried just so you would get an idea on what I am trying to do
I created a new Forwarder so that All email sent to signup@my2domain.com will now be redirected to "|/www.mydomain.com/public_html/cgi-bin/signup-list3.cgi"
But well it did not work , I also tried   "|/mydomain.com/public_html/cgi-bin/signup-list3.cgi"

What you need to do is place the .CGI scripts on my2domain.com.  Currently the CGI scripts make an external web call to process bounces, so it can pass the information to your ListMail install on domain1, via the web!

Your domain2 host will need to support email forwarding to CGI script and the /usr/bin/wget or alternative tool, configured in each .CGI.
