What happened to Listmail notifying of dead addies, bounces?
« on: March 17, 2006, 08:14:06 pm »
Back when I started with Listmail Pro in 2003, the software used to send me all of the dead emails, as well as the bounced ones. I was able to weed the list and keep things tidy.

I've not used my list mailing for a very long time, due to putting my site on autopilot for sales, because of a death in the family and a year of very poor health. I just sent a mailing this evening, and I know it went through, as I've had signups to the free items, and feedback. However, I did not get a shred of evidence from Listmail concerning dead addies or bounces. Not a bit. Yet when I run the tests, it tells me the test email addies and the SMPT are working fine.

The ONLY changes to any of this were the 2 or 3 updates ... is there something in new coding that is disabling these functions? I see similar postings here...

How do I get this back to notifying me of the dead addies, as well as the bounces?

I've had followups going, via Cron, for this entire time of 'muting' my list mailings. And all of that is fine.

Anyone know what is going on? How do I get this to notify me? I'd sure like to weed out the list.

Thanks in advance,
Leanne

Leanne,

I haven't heard any widespread reports of this problem.  I wonder if your host has a restriction on email?
