Hi all,
Ich have a LM 1.8 installation that sends out to a list of about 1200 subscribers, mixed TXT-Only and HTML/TXT.
First we do send out to a closed list of test subscriber to make sure that the newsletter ist correct in content, spelling and images. After this, the EXACT content is send out to the list of final recipients - this is done via a CMS that helps editing the content and writes directly into the aproriate LM databse table - the only difference between those 2 Sendouts is the listnumber and the topic gets its "TEST:" removed...
Now - all tests work out fine - but during the final sending, we have several complaint about emails that only have this line of text when received:
This is a multipart message in MIME format.
Comparing the headers shows the following differences:
test:
Subject: Testversand: spectrum online
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
X-Mailer: ListMail v1.8
final:
Subject: spectrum online
MIME-Version: 1.0
X-Mailer: ListMail v1.8
The affected subscribers are TXT only subcribers - at least as far as I know. I am *suspecting* that the receiving mailserver plays a vital part in this too - my guess is that Exchange *may* be involved..
Anyone out there that could explain this behavior?? Is there a way to "hardwire" those lines into ANY mail going out from LM??
Kind regards and thanx for any help
