Attachments become corrupted
« on: June 16, 2004, 07:35:58 am »
Hi

I would appreciate it if someone could help me. I seem to be having a problem with a winzip attachment that I associate with a reponse sent to customers who join my mailing list. The problem is that the folder becomes corrupted and cannot be opened.

I have tried recreating the zip file and testing it locally, which is all fine, but somehow within the process of associating this attachement with ListMail it becomes corrupted.

Any suggestions or ideas ?

I can't seem to confirm this.  I'm testing with the ListMail files available via the members area. I attach a ZIP file and it comes through ok.  I can view files inside it, extract them, etc.

I tried again, rezipped the file, uploaded it and tested. Once again it did not work.  I checked the error text and this is what was included;

Quote
End-of-central-directory signature not found.  Either this file is not a Zip file, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part Zip file.

The file is 72k and defintely not part of a multi part file.  :?:

Problem resolved. I tried uploading the file to the listmail attach directory through an FTP application instead of through list mail and this seemed to do the trick.

Thanks
