Unable To Connect
« on: June 07, 2007, 08:07:47 pm »
I just realized I haven't received the daily email summaries that I have been receiving each night when Dailymail runs. I logged into ListMail and seen that some of the automated followups haven't been sent for the last couple of days from the notice displayed at the top of the admin page. When I click the resume button, I then get the following error message:

Connecting to SMTP server...
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to localhost:25 in /home/*****/public_html/ar/admin.php on line 953
Server not found!
Failed.

Check your SMTP settings!
Your message has been saved for later.

I haven't changed anything lately and everything has been working fine up until the last couple of days. Is this an error message that could be caused by a change the web host made?

Thanks,
Keith

More and likely, I'd ask them first.

Yes, it appears your host may have blocked access to SMTP from scripts running on the web server.  They will have to remove this restriction in order for you to use ListMail's SMTP feature.
