Sending Email Failure
« on: May 07, 2006, 09:08:26 pm »
When I try to send a test message, I get the following...

----------------------------------------------------------
Please wait while email is queued to send... Done!

Connecting to SMTP server... Connected!

Delaying.. Please wait..
If your mailing stops for any reason you can simply and safely resume sending.

Sending to server: 0 of 1.

Average speed: 0 per second. 0 per hour.

Sending error. Check your mail settings.

Server said:
RCPT TO: <my email>
250 Accepted
354 Enter message, ending with "." on a line by itself
550 Administrative prohibition

----------------------------------------------------------

When I do a test message from the configuration menu, I get a bounce email but nothing from the SMTP.

Any ideas on how to get this to send emails?

Sending Email Failure

This error is usually caused either by failing to authenticate with the SMTP server or by a host hourly/daily limitation on the number of emails you can send.

First, try the SMTP host "localhost" with no AUTH or "Authorize by Checking Email".

If "localhost" doesn't work, use the SMTP server name noted by your web host, such as "mail.example.com".

Next, try SMTP with AUTH and a username and password of an existing mailbox on your domain.

As a last resort, try "Authorize by Checking Email" with AUTH either enabled or disabled.
