Unsubscribing from a list
« on: April 09, 2008, 11:28:17 am »
I think I may have missed something here but I don't seem to be able to find how I can add an unsubscribe link to my emails for users that have not been added through a web form on my website.

I want to import a list of users from my old website and mail them but if I do this they will not be able to unsubscibe from the list.

I have a test list which I am practising with so when I send an email to this list I want to be able to add an unsubscibe so that I can remove them from the list.

regards,

Phil

Hi Phil,

A standard remove link message code can be used for these users just as it can for those added from a signup form.  The default !remove code should exist in "Message Codes" -> "Global Codes".  You may want to click "Edit" next to the code to modify it's options, text, etc.

As always I recommend giving it a try on a test list to make sure it works as expected before sending to a live list.
