email for signups?
« on: February 22, 2007, 10:28:58 pm »
Is it possible to use and email address for signups instead of the form? I have an account that only accepts email signups.

Yes, web host supporting.

It is done with email forwarding and the included CGI scripts.

I have LPM uploaded to domain1.com, but I have created a list for
domain2.com also (since I can change the sent from email address).
I would like to know if it is possible to sign up to domain2.com list with
blank email?

How would that happen if it was possible, or do I have to upload the LPM
to every domain separately to be able to sign up by just sending a blank
email?

It works for the domain1.com, but I can't make it to work for the
domain2.com? I have cpanel.

I have the script file in the cgi-bin folder at domain1.com?... I would need
to set up the email alias at domain2.com?... forward it to where?...what
would be the path to domain1.com cgi-bin folder?....It can't be just
/home/.. and something?  if this is possible at all..

Thanks in advance,
Tarja

Hi Tarja,

Each signup script is configured to contain your ListMail URL - you will not need the local path to domain1.   Set up the signup script (modify to contain your domain1 ListMail URL) and the email alias pointing to it on domain2 and you should be ok!
