Using Custom Field in Message Codes
« on: September 18, 2008, 04:29:30 pm »
Hi,
Haven't ever used this feature before but am trying to set it up to add individual coupon codes with no luck. I can use the global codes just fine  but must be missing something when I try to setup a custom field.
I've tried the online manual but it doesn't go into much detail. Any help would be appreciated.
Also, is there a way to add tracking to a graphic link in html rather than use the auto-generated text link?
Thanks, Wes

I'm not sure I understand fully what you are trying to do.  You should be able to easily capture the data for a custom field and use a message code to output the same data the user entered in email.

This is a bit of a hack, but you should be able to paste the "img" tag directly into the link "title".

Using Custom Field in Message Codes

I was trying to send out a promotional email with a custom field for a coupon code that could be used on my website. I wasn't able to get the custom field to work in the email so I used the last name field for the code (which I wasn't using) and it worked fine.
I'll try the graphic link idea on my next email and see if I can get it to work.
thanks, Wes
