Welcome message vs Followups
« on: April 26, 2005, 08:27:39 am »
Let me see if I've got this straight.

The Welcome message goes to the new subscriber after confirmation (when using confirmation mode).

Followups go out when DailyMail is run, typically once a day.

In my case, I want to send back a special report when they confirm, and a followup a few days later.  So I should put the special report in the Welcome message, and not schedule anything for Day 0.

Then schedule the next email with a delay of 3.

Is that the way to use your system for my needs ?

Thanks

mark,

In fact, you cannot currently schedule a followup for Day 0 to go out with the welcome message (but you should be able to, shouldn't you?)

I think you've got it.  A delay of 3 will result in a 3 to almost 4 day delay (depending on how close to dailymail time they signed up).  Here's the help page: http://listmailpro.com/help/followups.html
