Backup & Restore Problem in Config Area
« on: July 17, 2005, 04:37:24 pm »
Hi Dean

Just stumbled across a problem.
Decided to try the built in LMP backup & restore option in the config area.
(Normally I use our own system but thought "Since I'm here ......"
Anyway. Kicked the following error:

---------------------------------
Optimizing tables... DONE
Writing backup file... DONE
Verifying backup file... ERROR - MISSING DATA TABLES
---------------------------------

Any ideas on this? The system all works fine.
Just thought I would mention it and see if something was wrong that I can't see.

Take care,
Rowdy Rhodes

Backup & Restore Problem in Config Area

Rowdy,

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to redo the backup routine to fix this problem.  I made some headway on improving it last update, but there are still problems as apparent by the error message.  The problem is I'm writnig the files via a shell command and I believe there may be limits to this method on some servers.  I'm going to be redoing it in PHP ASAP.

Hi Dean,

Not a major problem on my end of things. Our hosting site has mirrors of our system, as well as the msot important information (our list) is backed up on a regular basis. Then we also perform a full backup of our own using phpadmin for all databases and structure. Just thought I'd point it out. Obviously you're fully aware of the issue and as always right on top of providing a solution.

Keep up the great work.
Take care,
Rowdy
