« on: May 02, 2004, 11:06:31 pm »
Hello Dean,

great feature would be, if on Monday UserX enters his email,
he come back on Friday and provides us on a contact form with his last name, that listmail would be able to update that Profile..
And email openings/views tracking

But it is a great product

A user profile page is coming eventually.  It's taking time because I want to keep the powerful Custom HTML theme going for the program.

For the meantime you can set the following variable in your signup form to allow overwriting of duplicate addresses (v1.77b)

<input type=hidden name=overwrite_dupes value=1>

Email open/views tracking is coming soon.  For now you might have success with one of the scripts noted in the following post:

Hi,

Yes, I need this too, a User Profile page, let the user update/modify their own Email address, and ANY other information, including custom fields : )

Also provide a way for us to add in our own code in this Update function, as I want to set up and make calculations to prepare custom fields based on how the user updates their profile.

Also, provide a templated format here, for example really need a way to let the user enter their Birth Date information.  Also, when they update Birthdate info need to make sure it's a valid date and report an error if it's not.
Thanks,
-Brett

A client paid me to create this for them and allowed me to share it (!). Here's the link:

Unfortunately, there is not (yet) much in the way of error checking - it depends what the client ends up wanting.  I'm still waiting to hear back from him about the initial design and applying his HTML.
