About The !button use in Text Version Messages
« on: March 25, 2005, 04:03:27 pm »
I have not posted here in a long while, cuz it's been working wonderfully.  And it's even better Now.

I'm still trying all the new stuff.  I'm just bubbling over :D

I just found out that if you put !button in the text version, when sending mail, you will get two copies of the same text in one email, Text Version Only.  The html version, when you put !button, is just fine.

  So do not put !button in your text messages.

:D  This New Version is Great.  :D

*****  This is a Sample of what I get.  Then it repeats again.  The link code works in the first part, but the second part the link code doesn't.  So just for your info:  Do NOT use !button in Text Format  **************

The "Remove Confirm" button is intended for use on the Remove Confirm HTML page only.

Technically, the reason it came through as it did is because I pass the $c variable to the processmsg(subj, msg, htmsg) function through the $msg variable.  Messages normally have their subject, text, and html messages passed to the function all at once, but with Custom HTML we only need to use one of these for the data (subj) and can store additional data in the rest. :).  So, when the message code is used in a message the $c variable is not passed, but rather the text message is.

I'm going to move the variable so that the output won't be as confusing.  If used in a message, the code will just output the form.
