Move ListMail Folder and Rename
« on: March 23, 2005, 06:20:40 pm »
Dean/All,

I'm in the process of moving my ListMail files to a different server. The new server already uses domainname.com/mail for access to Webmail.

So I need to rename the ListMail folder from mail to listmail.

For the heck of it, I tried to change the name of the folder in Dreamweaver and upload to the new site (just an IP address right now).

Got the following:
 >>>>>>>
> Warning: main(../mail/./config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or
> directory in /home/steve/scubashackct.com/html/listmail/login.php on line 7
>
> Warning: main(): Failed opening '../mail/./config.php' for inclusion
> (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in
> /home/steve/scubashackct.com/html/listmail/login.php on line 7
>
> Warning: main(../mail/./admin.php): failed to open stream: No such file or
> directory in /home/steve/scubashackct.com/html/listmail/login.php on line 8
>
> Warning: main(): Failed opening '../mail/./admin.php' for inclusion
> (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear') in
> /home/steve/scubashackct.com/html/listmail/login.php on line 8
>
> Fatal error: Call to undefined function: adminheader() in
> /home/steve/scubashackct.com/html/listmail/login.php on line 72
> >>>>>>>>>>>

Can you provide assistance?

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

All you need to do is change the "Path to ListMail" on the Config page.  You should not modify the ListMail files directly, such as what might have happened with DreamWeaver (in which case you will need to re-download or unzip ListMail).  Unfortunately, without some form of redirection from the /mail folder on the new host, your old ListMail links will not work.

Okay - I would change the path, but I can not access the admin panel from domain.com/mail since it is directing me to webmail instead.

I would not mind reinstalling listmail - that is easy enough. Would the quick fix be to install listmail into the new directory?

I can then go through the register pages and update the ListMail links. I have to do that anyway since I was pointing to the IP address (during development) and that has changed.

Thoughts?

Also - can you e-mail me my member information so I can grab ListMail again? I can not seem to find my access info.

Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

If you upload ListMail to /listmail you will need to access it at /listmail.  Your new login URL will be http://yoursite.com/listmail.

I am locating your member access info and will send it shortly to the email address on file.

Thanks much. I'll be working on this tonight and don't expect any issues but I'll let you know how it goes.
