Sending 2 Emails in 1 Day
« on: June 18, 2008, 07:52:21 am »
Hi,

Help please...

I would like to send out a Welcome Message followed by the first e-mail on my follow-up list all on the same day.  (Ideally, the follow-up would go a couple of hours after the welcome message.)

Can I do that?

Many thanks,

Jed.

Hi Jed,

This is unfortunately not possible and I cant think of an easy hack that would let you do it.  I must recommend adding your first followup to the welcome message itself.

how about broadcasts?

hi - as a followup question can I use the scheduler to schedule 10 emails per day (1 per list)?

Does it handle multiple broadcasts per day this way?

Thanks.

Hi,

That's a clever idea!

The only downside is that you couldn't be sure of the order e-mails are sent out.  Or does LMP send out e-mails from list 1 first, then list 2 next, etc...

Many thanks, Jed.

@jed - I have a large list broken into batches of 10k and that's why I was asking.

I don't care about the order the lists are processed, but I'm wondering how the scheduler handles more than 1 broadcast request per day.

Still waiting to hear on this question...

Greetings,

Yes, the scheduler will process all messages scheduled for or before the given day.  Multiple messages are expected. :)
