Setting up Cron Jobs with Plesk Control Panel
« on: June 06, 2007, 09:35:24 am »
Dean,

Yesterday, I have purchased a new server side script written in PHP / MYSQL, which requires setting up Cron Jobs (explained here, in this video):

http://www.adspypro.com/help/videos/cron/

With cPanel, I could set it up myself - but I am unable to do it with Plesk.

Any suggestions, Dean?

Thanks.

Armando,

This should be possible in Plesk.  Click your domain, then under "Hosting" click "Crontab".

MySQL version 4.1 or above...

Dean,

The script I have purchased also requires:

PHP version 4.0.2 or above.

MySQL version  4.1 or above. (THIS ONE IS CRITICAL)

I am getting an error message, and the script is not working.  :(

Thanks.

Cron Task - Permission denied ?!
« Reply #5 on: June 17, 2007, 02:35:35 pm »
Dean,

I am getting this error message, every time I get an email from
root@server.example.com

/bin/sh: line 1:
/home/httpd/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/adspro/getads.php:
Permission denied

Why is that? Could you sort that out? Thanks.

Otherwise, my new script seems to be working fine.

Armando are you able to tell me more about the problem?  Useful would be how I can recreate it or anything else such as the content of a message.

The forum is really just for ListMail support not my hosting, which is non-public / invite-only at this time.  Please email me at dean@...

You are not getting my emails...

Dean,

I posted here, because you were not replying to my emails...

You'll have to whitewash my NEW gmail email account, as I am still
unable to send out emails with the Profits.CC domain hosted with you.

P.S. - apparently, this "permission denied" error message was sorted out
via a script upgrade which I've just received today.
