File Import
« on: October 08, 2006, 09:18:08 pm »
When uploading my leads, it shows they have uploaded but when I go back to the list page it only shows 69.  I am importing approx. 13,000 leads.

When the import is done, it says: 12889 imported, 62 Duplicates, 1 bad address.  As I said before, when I bring up the leads list there are only 69 on the first page and no other pages showing.

How do I get the leads to show up so they will be sent my autoresponder messages?

Thanks for any insight you can give on this.

After having a look at the file you sent me I figured it out:

Your file came in this format:
Quote
'John','Doe',john@doe.com,'12.34.56.78','06 05 06 19:16'
'Jane','Doe',jane@doe.com,'12.34.56.78','06 05 06 19:16'

ListMail cannot import this type of file due to the single quotes (we need double) and lack of quotes around a single field.

To import these leads you will need to reformat the file.  I have done this successfully using Excel, as follows:

1. Load a new blank workbook
2. Click Data -> Import External Data -> Import Data
3. Browse to and select your list text file
4. Click "Next" to choose "Delimited" format
5. Uncheck "Tab" and check "Comma".  In the "Text qualifier" field change it from the double quote to the single quote, then click "Next"
6. Click "Finish"
7. Click "OK" and your data will be imported into Excel
8. Click "File" -> "Save As"
9. Under "Save as type" scroll down and choose "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)"
10. Save the file
11. Import into ListMail!

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!
